Not only wine: we will travel from Castelnuovo Berardenga to Gaiole visiting little hamlets and small family run farms off the beaten track, where you will be able to taste their food and wine.

The Berardenga is a very old area of the Sienese Chianti that treasures ancient parish churches like the Pieve di Pacina, with early medieval architectural elements such as the cylindrical bell tower and the central apse. There we will visit a family run farm producing Chianti wine in the traditional way. Castles, villages and villas, like Pagliaia, once owned by the Piccolomini family, remind us of the battle of Montaperti between the Sienese and the Florentines. We finally reach Gaiole, located in the ancient land of the Chianti League with its villas and castles and Coltibuono abbey.
