The Marian walk is one of the official walk established by Pope Francis for the Extraordinary Jubilee 2015/2016. The path of the Marian Walk has to be covered on foot, as the Pope has explicitly requested, because it’s an itinerary of faith.
It is a bit more than five kilometres long, and takes around one hour on foot, with the possibility to walk among basilicas, churches, a prison, and many streets and squares in Rome. Obviously, it will take longer, if we consider all the obligatory stops, not only religious, but also cultural stops, and for refreshment. It will be possible to end the Marian Walk in a half-day, and arrive at Saint Peter’s Basilica.
