DESCRIPTION
Well-preserved, the villa has maintained the special details of its original structure while having undergone an elegant renovation utilizing traditional materials such as stone, wooden ceiling beams and terracotta flooring, perfectly integrating these elements with new modern features.
On the grounds guests will be particularly impressed by the large swimming pool (10,50m x 7,50m), with its hydromassage area surrounded by olive and cypress trees and finished off with terracotta and stone. At the edge of the pool one can comfortably sun-bathe, reclining in lounge chairs while admiring the striking and gentle panoramas the Tuscan countryside has to offer.
Even at night, vistas come alive with the superbly suggestive illumination of hilltop hamlets not far in the distance. Colle di Sotto follows a winning recipe composed of five well-measured ingredients: Fascination, Customized Lodgings, Tranquillity, Constant Courtesy and Complete Guest Satisfaction. In fact, a series of excellent services available to clients must be mentioned, beginning with the welcome basket guests will find upon their arrival, offering a weekly new culinary surprise.
To further facilitate guests in making themselves feel at home, they will also find a list of items that the owner will be glad to order and have delivered.
Interiors:
Ground floor:
the original architectural details have been preserved and incorporated into a new, elegant and comfortable design. The barn (100 sqm) had been restructured using traditional materials: local stone, exposed wooden beams and Florentine terracotta floors, giving a touch of simple elegance. Here and there, you will find precious details such as fine paintings, ceramics from Montelupo and typical ornaments in character with the building. The barn of Colle di Sotto is composed from a luminous, multicoloured and fully equipped kitchen with the latest mod cons, two double bedrooms with double antique iron beds and two bathrooms with cabin shower.
First floor:
Upstairs there is an open-plan upper-gallery with a large sitting room, with two sofa (one is sofa bed for 2 people), equipped with TV, DVD, CD player, books, a fire place with firewood and an antique tuscan chest of drawers. The bedrooms, with stone accents and wrought-iron beds, are romantic and inviting, each with its own truly breathtaking view.
