The Val d’Orcia Park of Art, Nature and Culture attracts low-environmental impact tourism. For this reason, a number of itineraries have been created in order to discover and get to know this territory better. These itineraries have been set up in the belief that on foot you see things that otherwise wouldn’t be noticed or enjoyed to the best of the cultural, environmental and historical values of the area.

Walking along the streets of the town from the city walls, through the fountains until the Osservanza Basilica.

The museum is located in a fortified village built along the Cassia way. Very important paintings of the Sienese school, goldsmith works and religious ornaments coming from the Arbia valley, are housed in one the rare art nouveau palaces still existing. The abbey of Monte Oliveto is a work of art with its cloister completely frescoed by Luca Signorelli and Sodoma. It is a green oasis of peace and prayer and dominates the slander ridges forming the "calanchi". It is the seat of one of the most appreciated institutes for the repair of ancient books in Italy.

The Etruscans left deep traces in this part of Tuscany, wide "Lucumonie" (city states), with very interesting necropolis. At Cortona we will admire the "tabella cortonese", unique example of Etruscan writing on a tile. Then at Chiusi, the town related with king Porsenna, we will visit a perfectly circular cistern, they used at that time to store the water.

WINE TOUR AND MONTEPULCIANO ARTISANS
An half day walking tour (around 3 hours) through the narrow streets of Montepulciano, famous for its Nobile wine all over the world.

San Gimignano rises on a hill dominating the Elsa Valley and it's on the Via Fracigena, the tradingand pilgrim's route that crossed Italy. San Gimignano is famous for its 12th and 13th century
towers and for its Vernaccia (white wine).

After the visit to San Gimingano, we will go on to Siena. Draped on its three hills, Siena is a very beautiful city to visit. A medieval ensemble of palaces and towers built in warm brown, Siena-coloured bricks. Its soaring skyline is its pride, dominated by the gothic cathedral (duomo), the needle-like tower of the Torre del Mangia and the shell shaped Piazza

San Quirico, Bagno Vignoni, Castiglione d'Orcia among gardens, hot springs and strongholds; with a tasting of ocal produce.

A new way to discover Florence by walking
through its narrow streets, prying into old little shops and markets, visiting some craftsmen, from the bronze smith to the frame-gilding maker. From there we will reach Santo Spirito, where we will visit an old bookbinder who makes marbled paper and then a hatter who still uses hat-blocks.
